Your oral history journey, your way

Oral testimony provides a unique way to capture eyewitness accounts of the past in the voices of those who have been overlooked or deliberately  silenced. Yet, for many, the prospect of  training to become an oral historian can be overwhelming. Concerns about ethics, finding participants, recording the oral history interview and curating an oral history collection are just some of the perceived obstacles to become an oral historian.

At Oral History Made Easy, we understand these challenges. Now you can become an oral historian by  taking control of your oral history development journey. At Oral History Made Easy ™, we guide you through the entire process of conducting oral history from start to finish into six easy to follow actionable steps. With one to one mentorship, live sessions and peer support, we equip you with the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to become an accomplished oral historian. So become a curator of history and submit your expression of interest for our 2026 cohort. Places limited to 20 students per intake.

We are all hard wired to share stories and everyone has a story to tell. Yet in an increasingly polarised world where everyone is clamoring to be heard, so many voices are marginalised or deliberately silenced.
